환대와 연결, 그리고 소망을 전하고자 합니다.
What Does “Midway” Mean?
“Midway” means the middle of the journey — the place where people meet along the way.
We believe faith is not merely about arriving, but about walking together.
Midway Church exists for those who are still searching, still growing, and still on the way.
We stand between city and suburb,
between doubt and belief,
between movement and belonging —
offering hospitality, connection, and hope.

미드웨이 교회는 어떤 교회인가요?
미드웨이 교회는 시티의 청년들과 지역 교회의 장년 세대가 함께 만나 신앙 안에서 동행하는 교회입니다.
청년과 젊은 장년이 주축이 되어 세워가고 있으며, 세대 간의 화합과 연결을 추구합니다.
우리 공동체에는 유학생들과 1세대 이민자들이 많이 있습니다. 호주와 시드니에 첫발을 내딛으며 설렘과 불안, 기대와 질문을 동시에 안고 살아가는 사람들의 마음을 이해하는 교회입니다.
미드웨이 교회는 공부와 일, 이주와 정착의 전환기를 지나고 있는 이들에게 영적인 집이 되어 주고자 합니다.
What Kind of Church Is Midway Church?
Midway Church is a community built around connection. We bring together city youth and local generations, walking side by side in faith.
Our church is primarily shaped by young adults and emerging leaders, while intentionally fostering unity and connection across generations.
Many in our community are international students and first-generation migrants. We understand what it means to take your first steps in Australia — to carry excitement and uncertainty, hope and questions at the same time.
Midway Church seeks to be a spiritual home for those navigating seasons of study and work, migration and settlement —a place of stability in times of transition.

Crows Nest는 시티 CBD와 주거 지역 사이에 위치한 곳,
이동과 정착 사이에 놓인 지역입니다.
이곳에는 통학하는 학생들이 오가고, 젊은 직장인들이 사회생활을 시작하며, 오랜 시간 자리를 지켜 온 가정과 지역 주민들이 함께 살아갑니다.
“Midway”는 중간에서 만난다는 의미입니다.
Crows Nest는 지리적으로도, 문화적으로도,
그리고 영적으로도 그 의미에 가장 잘 어울리는 장소입니다.
우리는 호주 침례교 공동체와 지역 교회들과 연결되어 있으며, 시드니의 청장년들이 건강하게 신앙에 뿌리내리도록 돕는 다리의 역할을 감당하고자 합니다.
Why Is Midway Church Located in Crows Nest?
Crows Nest sits between the Sydney CBD and residential suburbs — a place positioned between movement and settlement. Students commute through this area, young professionals begin their careers here, and long-time residents and families continue to call it home.
“Midway” means meeting in the middle.
Crows Nest embodies that meaning geographically, culturally, and spiritually. We are connected to the Australian Baptist Churches and to local congregations, serving as a bridge to help young adults in Sydney grow deep roots in faith and become meaningfully connected to the wider church community.
We are not bound by a building or a fixed schedule; instead, we go to where the gospel is needed.
In those places, we gather with people to form community — worshipping together, sharing fellowship, and living out the love of Jesus Christ.
Midway Simple Church primarily gathers international young adults in the Sydney CBD — especially on university campuses and within Baptist church communities — many of whom are coming to faith in Jesus for the first time.
This church is part of the Australian Baptist Churches’ Gen 1K Mission https://www.gen1kmission.org.au/ , joining in the vision of establishing new faith communities for a new generation.

미드웨이 심플처치는 주로 시드니 CBD의 캠퍼스와 침례교 교회 공동체 안에서, 처음 예수님을 믿기 시작한 international 청년들을 중심으로 모입니다.
